Hi Everyone!
There just seems to be so much going on here, that updating the blog gets put off and put off.... Finally here I am with a short update!
Jill had her second baby boy last month and is taking a bit of time off to spend with her growing family. Erica recently had a little operation, and is home recovering for a 2 weeks. We are looking forward to getting her back next week.
Some students have left, and some new students have arrived. Kwon Soon and Isaac left for Korea to go and have the baby at home. We are expecting them back in a few months. Francis has finished classes, but still comes to the odd lesson with the TEFL teachers - He will be sailing away on a cruise ship shortly. Hye Rin (from last year) came to visit us this morning, she is having a fantastic time at high school, and has made lots of new friends. Marie is studying with Damelin, and I saw her picture recently in the District mail! There are so many others all moved on to various different places... please keep in touch all of you!
With regard to the TEFL teachers, I have recently had news from Lauren and Ryan from the January course, who are teaching children in Korea. Luther and Pierre from courses in late 2007 are also in Korea (Pierre is teaching in a middle school, and Luther is teaching private lessons). Marthan is hoping to head to Korea shortly - he is waiting for his visa to be finalized.
Christine left for China just 10 days ago, and is still getting her head around the culture shock! Graeme on the other hand is very settled in at his kindergarten also in China. He is now considering furthering his education by taking a degree course in educational psychology. Robert is partying up a storm in Cusco, Peru. Sylvester liked it so much here that he and his family have moved to South Africa and he is teaching in a high school in Mafeking. Judit and her family are expecting to leave for Germany during April.
If you have news of anybody else, please let us know. We love to hear how people are doing and which part of the world you might find yourself after your leave us.
All the best to all of you past TIES students and teachers!

Welcome to the TIES blog!
Hi everyone!
This spot is a spot where all of our friends can look in on us and catch up with what is going on with the school. We are also hoping that you will write updates about yourself. You can write details of your life in South Africa or in other countries, your travel experiences, your classroom stories, or anything else that you want to share with others from ties.
Happy writing!
